Join a Book Club

The library offers an adult book club for those social readers in our community. Check out the below information for details about this book club and decide if this is something you would like to join!

The Hull Library currently offers an adult book club for the members of our community that enjoy reading a variety of books meeting in a social setting to discuss these books. Here is some information about the book club so that you can determine if this is something you would like to participate in:

  • This book club is geared towards adults, but teens would enjoy it as well
  • This book club meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm
  • Meetings take place in the library, in the fireside room
  • We have a volunteer who has led book club for us for the last several years and does an excellent job of preparing discussion questions if needed.
  •  Books are chosen by the group members themselves. There are discussions and suggestions that are ongoing in order to plan what the group is going to read each month. There is an effort made to ensure that a variety of genres are selected so that the group does not get stuck in the rut of reading the same type of book/story over and over.
  • The library will provide copies of the book club book to all of the members and will try to have it available in multiple formats as well. Members can purchase a copy of the book if they would like to but this is NOT a requirement. The library will provide all copies that are needed.
